After to have implanted a factory to Aurangabad (India), Audi wants to speed up his production. At present, Audi produces 2.000 units of A4, A6, Q5 in India and wants to progress to 2.700 models sold. The others models are imported.
In next years, about 2015, Audi wants to double its sales with an aim of 6.000 units and pass its direct rivals BMW, currently the leader and Mercedes. To achieve this aim, Audi will install a second assembly line in its indian factory, bringing the output capacity to 3.000 cars per year in 2011.
