Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid : a green sport car ?

An impeccable line, breathtaking performances, the Porsche brand has introduced its latest concept car at the Geneva motor show and of course it is a fascinating little fireball.

The model created sensation at the Geneva Motor Show was the Porsche 918 Spyder. An ultra-sporty car which really impresses everybody. Not only attractive but also very powerful, this new jewel of luxury has four engines. Yes, you have read well, four! A V8 engine 500 horsepower and three electric motors of 218 horsepower more. Inevitably, part numbers, the 918 Spyder provides establishing a record of 3.2 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. Its maximum speed exceeding 200mph.

Technical performances but also technological performances, Porsche has signed a car both powerful and environmentally friendly. The car manufacturer has focused on ecology with his 918 Spyder, which has a fuel consumption capped at 3 l/60 miles and CO2 emissions amount to only 117 g / mile (European calculation standards ). Design, athletic and elegant, the Porsche 918 Spyder is definitely the car of the future for those who can afford to offer it. For others, this car is a sweet dream.

The concept 918 Spyder could see daylight if 1000 concretes demands of consumers were registred by Porsche; it's in fact the threshold for Porsche to be profitable with this model. After 900 demands registred, the 918 Spyder is more than ever close to the production.
