The British consulting firm GForce comes to publish a study according to which, in 2015 20% of cars will be sold via the Internet, to the detriment of car dealerships.
Although this study focuses on the automotive market in Britain, it would not unlikely that this applies to other countries.
Indeed, recent years we saw the flowering of commercial offerings launched by car manufacturers on their website, specific price reductions, virtual showroom, the possibility to customize the car, who could not bring through their traditional showroom for technical or cost reasons. This trend could be strengthened in the years to come. Nevertheless, we must not forget the value of a real test and a physical contact.
