Nissan has released its complementary figures for 2009/2010 fiscal year, and they are better than expected and much more flattering than in 2008!
Despite a decrease in turnover of 10.9%, Nissan recorded a net profit of 393 million dollars for a turnover of 70 billion dollars and an operating profit of 3 billion dollars.
Across the globe, Nissan sold 3.515 million vehicles for the period 2009/2010, up 3%. However, it should be noted a lowered of its sales in North America (-5.8%) and particularly in the U.S. (-3.8%), Japan (-2.9%), and in the Europe (-2.4%), the increase of Nissan turnover is thus only based on the Chinese market (+38.7% )! This, portends of the future !
Nissan sees therefore the future become clearer by providing a turnover for the year 2010/2011 of 84 billions dollars, up 8.1%, for a net profit of 1.54 billion dollars and 3.8 million cars sold worldwide.
